Lil Sweet Thing

Meet my childhood friend, the checkered cake. That's probably the most creative name I came up with back in the day. Today I would just refer to it as the checkerboard cake?

This is hands down one of the best cakes I've EVER had from my local bakery. If there was a holy grail cake, this would be it.

For those days when you're not sure if you want a chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla cake, this little piece of heaven will satisfy all three cravings.



It's a moist sponge cake with all three flavors, glued together with some scrumptious whipped cream and topped with little chocolate sprinkles. What more could you ask for?!

The best part is, it only costs NT$45 and is widely available in local bakeries around Taipei. Next time you have a sweet tooth, make sure to check out this little pack of goodness.
