With our hiking shoes on and cameras ready, my friend and I set off to what we affectionately call Section 7, that being Zhongshan N Road Section 7. I always heard about the trails that started from section 7, but never went on one.
It was a beautiful, sunny day in December and my friend and I both bought new cameras. We thought what better way to test our new toys than to go on a hike!
Given that we both aren't the best navigators, we got lost for the first 30 minutes and then we finally saw it!
Once we started, we noticed that there were multiple trails leading off in different directions. We decided to wing it and go on a little adventure.
We hiked for two and a half hours and ended up past National Yang Ming University - talk about motivated!
I must say it was one of the best hikes I have been on. We passed a site where Formosan Macaques were habituated, but didn't get to see any sadly!
We managed to climb trees, say hello to some fuzzy creatures, hike some more and go stone stepping.
